St. Annae’s Church
One of the finest Baroque buildings in Budapest, the Church of St. Anna, was built between 1740-1762. The church is located in the heart of Watertown (Víziváros), the area between Castle Hill and the Danube. The older buildings along Fő utca, the main street of the district, are easily recognizable as they were all built below street level, to seek protection from the river. The church stands on Batthyány Square (Batthyhány tér), from where you can enjoy some of the best views of the Parliament.
1011 Budapest, batthyány Square 7.
